What is it?
Target Nutrition provides nutrition support, body composition analysis and health assessment to individuals and athletes (from recreational to elite) and to sports teams and clubs. The aim of this service is to give you a better understanding of nutrition for your particular goals - whether that be altering your base diet to improve health, periodised nutrition strategies to get the most out of your training, or fuelling for race day success.
Our promise is to give you bespoke, evidence-based guidance that will help you achieve your goals. There is a wealth of nutrition information available, but we want to help you find and understand the strategies that will work best for you.
Liz’s background
Liz is a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, she has a PhD in Nutrition, an MSc in Public Health Nutrition and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition with the International Olympic Committee.
Liz has worked for over a decade as a senior lecturer and researcher giving her a wealth of experience in presenting to groups of all sizes. She has developed and led research-informed degree programmes in Sport, Nutrition and Health and as a result her own practise is similarly evidence-based. She has worked with many organisations, sports clubs and athletes providing nutritional guidance; assessment of dietary intake; snack products for events; and body composition analysis. She enjoys opening up new areas for possible improvement by helping clients focus on how nutrition can complement their work and training.
Liz is an athlete herself, which helps her to understand the challenges of training and fuelling correctly. Her main passion is being in the mountains and trail running. She also enjoys triathlon and multisport racing and has recently represented Team GB in the European and World Age Group Aquathlon Championships. She has previously trained as a mountain leader and worked as a glacier guide, so has an interest in sport and nutrition in extreme environments.
Services & Packages:
“…I had no idea how useful a nutrition programme would be to benefit my training. I was eating nowhere near enough calories and the wrong foods. I now have a set programme that matches my training schedule and have a separate plan for competition weeks. I no longer feel light headed or dizzy and have a lot more energy to give more effort in my sessions. I look forward to our next meeting to discuss adapting my plan for the winter season.”
