“Earlier this year I decided to enter my first ultra-distance trail race; 90 miles around the mountains in Snowdonia. I knew that fuelling in the run up, and during the race was going to be key to me completing it. Liz gave me a clear, easy-to-follow plan to lead up to the event itself as well as hour-by-hour advice on what to eat during the race and at the check-in stations along the way. Following the plan got me to the start line with bags of energy and I was amazed at how well I felt during the race when I refuelled as per the plan. I competed the event far faster than I had hoped and was delighted to finish third. I know that the nutrition advice I received was a massive part of this success.

More recently I entered my first full-distance Ironman race. Again, Liz provided me with a detailed breakdown of exactly what to eat in the run up, as well as on race day. People say these long-distance races are basically eating and drinking competitions with some exercise thrown in. Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration but there’s no underestimating the importance of getting the nutrition right to maximise performance. Thanks Liz!”
